Dorsey-Howley Performing Arts Center-Lincoln, NE
When the Lincoln Public Schools needed to update the Dorsey-Howley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Southeast High School, Diversified Design Group, Inc. was brought in to work with the architect and engineers as part of the design team. Our goal was to create a performing arts space that was innovative, functional and budget conscious.Extensive acoustic modeling and A/V system design were used to create an overall audio/visual system that was capable of handling a wide variety of performances, varied attendance numbers and a unique learning experience for the student operators.Diversified Design Group, Inc., working closely with the architects and engineers, provided the essential design and project oversight necessary to exceed the clients needs and stay within their budget.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church– Blacksburg, VA
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Blacksburg, VA was a project that merged the latest in audio system technology with the challenges of creating a traditional style worship space. Diversified Design Group, Inc. met these challenges by using steerable line array speakers hidden within the architecture of the room and a user-friendly media control system with multiple presets. Separate control presets were implemented to adjust audio coverage for service types and audience size.Working closely with the project architects, we were able to conceal the loudspeaker system while maintaining excellent sound coverage and speech intelligibility.
All Saints Catholic Church-Cedar Rapids, IA
Unique circumstances call for unique solutions. When presented with the opportunity to remodel/upgrade the audio system for All Saints Catholic Church, Diversified Design Group, Inc. came up with solutions that were unique and surpassed the goals of the Owner and Architect.
A combination of steerable line arrays, standard line arrays, custom low frequency cabinets and distributed overhead loudspeakers were used to provide intelligible, high quality sound reinforcement to all areas of the church. A multi-zone, electronically corrected speaker system provided the choir with monitoring capabilities even without a choir shell. An automatic mixer, superior wireless microphone systems and sequenced AC power rounded out the design.
The system provided All Saints Catholic Church with the versatility and audio quality that allowed them to present services with confidence, knowing the audio system was clear and trouble free.
Christ Community Church-Beatrice, NE
Contemporary Worship features theatrical style music and video performances in a less formal setting than traditional worship services. Architectural acoustics and well designed audio/video and control systems are crucial in creating an environment necessary for this style of church service.
Christ Community Church retained Diversified Design Group, Inc. to oversee the architectural acoustic design. We also provided complete AV system design, budgeting, bidding and construction oversight duties.
The project included acoustic treatments to provide proper control of sound in the space, an exploded cluster style speaker system and a 24-channel analog mixing console. A pan/tilt camera system for image magnification, a single projection system for the audience and a confidence monitor projection system for the choir round out the design.
Diversified Design Group, Inc. was able to provide a space with the proper acoustics and an AV system that allowed Christ Community Church to concentrate on their worship services with confidence.
Holy Family Parish Catholic Church– Inverness, IL
When the Holy Family Parish needed to update their Audio, Video and Control Systems with a greater emphasis on Contemporary Worship, Diversified Design Group, Inc. was brought in to provide complete design, budgeting, bidding and construction oversight duties.
The project included two 6 speaker concert arrays, an automatic mixer for traditional services and a 48-channel, state-of-the-art digital mixing console for contemporary music services. Four pan/tilt cameras, a digital video recorder, dual projection system and comprehensive touch panel control completed the upgrade.

Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church– Clinton, IA
Reverberation. A sought after attribute in traditional worship spaces. It provides natural acoustic characteristics that are excellent for choirs and congregational singing. It also poses a challenge when designing a sound reinforcement system that will provide quality speech intelligibility and the capacity to reinforce some contemporary style music.
Diversified Design Group, Inc. was able to provide just that and more when designing the AV system for Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Using three state-of-the-art steerable line arrays, custom subwoofers and the proper modeling and commissioning techniques, we were able to integrate intelligible sound reinforcement in a space designed with ample reverberation times.
The AV system also included an automatic mixer for everyday use, a remote analog mixing console for special musical events and a dual projector video system capable of providing a quality image even with higher ambient light levels.
Diversified Design Group, Inc. provided the congregation with a high quality AV system that allowed them to do some more contemporary services in a traditional worship space.
